A new branch in the fossil record has be found. It looks like we may have once had Hobbit size cousins! I guess in our world Mordor won!

Speaking of which how many of you have seen Darwin's Origin of Species? You can read the orignal text here. Althought we are not direct descendants of Apes as Darwin thought, current genetic science has shown we the Primates all have a common ancestor. Better still all quadropeds ( four limb creatures ) have a common ancestor some 300 - 400 million years ago.

Physical Science, Mutation and extra body parts

In class we got on the subject of mutation... The talk went something like this:

Nuclear Energy ---> Radiation ---> Mutations ---> Birth Defects ---> Extra Fingers ---> Extra Nipples

The last two are linked to some fascinating reading. So start counting your body parts.
